Do you know who I am?

When you hear any man make this statement, he has placed himself in a lofty position where he is ready to fight to his last- He won’t let anyone strip him of his pride.
What usually happens next? I’ve seen the way it usually plays out. Most of the time, the individual showing great importance gets disgraced. Pride is like a little devil, it wouldn’t want you to give up even when it has calculated your chances of winning as zero.
Although it’s good to have pride (reasonable amount of self respect), not the usual swell-headedness we see around. Many people mistake one for the other, which is very unfortunate- It has left some to wallow in complacency thinking it is self satisfactory. If we let negative pride take over us, we become like the world’s ugliest plant (Welwitschia mirabilis).
If you would ask my opinion, I think, to be somebody, you have to be nobody. What do I mean? If you think you’re the best, you’ll never meet someone better which means you would never get to learn to be better. If you feel you’re the prettiest girl, you would probably wallow in your fountain of hideous beasts. If you think people cannot do without you, then you would most likely be left alone in your ignorance. If you feel you can’t make out time for others or you’re too busy for them, others would equally not have time for you. The universe is not selfish, we always in a way or the other get the same energy we give out.
The final thing I would like you to keep in mind is, people with this negative type of energy never like each other. So, try as much as possible to keep away from bad energy, learn, learn and learn! Above all, build self worth.
